Ellicott City House Fire Requires 75 Firefighters To Control
A house fire in Ellicott City Monday morning resulted in the partial collapse of the structure, officials said.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Nobody was home at the time of a house fire in Ellicott City Monday morning, according to officials. About 75 firefighters from Howard and Baltimore counties assisted in bringing the inferno under control, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, which is handling the investigation.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 10300 block of Kingsbridge Road for a report of a house fire at 1:07 a.m. on Monday. The residence was engulfed in flames, authorities reported.
At 1:22 a.m., crews reported there was a partial collapse in the back of the house. Due to the unstable nature of the structure, firefighters battled the fire from outside.
