Ellicott City Man To Compete On Jeopardy!
A journalist from Ellicott City will be putting his knowledge to the test this week on the quiz show on national TV.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — An Ellicott City man will compete this week on Jeopardy!
Jay Hancock will test his knowledge on the episode that will air Wednesday night, according to representatives from the quiz show. Jeopardy! is broadcast on WBFF-TV/Fox 45.
Hancock, who lives in Ellicott City, is a journalist reporting for Kaiser Health News.

Previously, he was a financial columnist for The Baltimore Sun, which reported he taped the episode in April after auditioning two years ago.
Hancock is the latest local trivia master to appear on the quiz show hosted by Alex Trebek. A teacher from Talbott Springs competed in May and a Howard County woman appeared on the show in June.

In 2014, another Howard County journalist was also on Jeopardy! David Greisman, senior media relations manager for the Columbia Association (who moonlights as a boxing writer and is a former Patch editor, who launched Columbia Patch in 2010), played and won.
