Ellicott City Man Died In Route 32 Crash: Police
A 31-year-old Ellicott City man was killed in a crash in Clarksville Monday morning, Howard County police reported.

CLARKSVILLE, MD - An Ellicott City man was killed in a crash on Route 32 in Clarksville Monday morning, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Barry Martin Eastman, 31, was pronounced deceased at the scene after his 2015 Kia Forte collided with a tractor-trailer at approximately 8 a.m., police said.
Eastman was an officer with the Metropolitan Police Department, where authorities said he had worked for four years.

He was headed north on Route 32 Monday morning when his car crossed the double yellow line and hit a southbound tractor-trailer in the area of Route 108. It was not known why Eastman's car crossed into oncoming traffic, police reported. (Get news alerts from Ellicott City Patch and like us on Facebook.)
Eastman died, and the driver of the 2014 Mack tractor-trailer — Ira Goldberg, 53, of Frederick — was uninjured, police said.

Route 32 was shut down between Route 108 and Linden Church Road for approximately six hours; transportation officials said that Route 32 had reopened after 2 p.m.
