In honor of National Vietnam War Veterans Day, this chain with a restaurant in Ellicott City is offering free sandwiches to Vietnam vets.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Mission BBQ is observing National Vietnam War Veterans Day on Friday, March 29, by offering free sandwiches to all Vietnam veterans. The restaurant will also play the national anthem at noon at all of their locations around 16 states, one of which is in Ellicott City.
"On this day, which marked the last combat troops to withdraw from Vietnam, we wish to honor the brave men and women in service from that era, remember their history and show our sincere appreciation," according to a statement from the chain.
"We believe there is nothing more American than BBQ. And nobody more American than the brave men and women who have sworn to protect and serve Our Communities and Our Country," Mission BBQ said in the release.
