Equipment Fire Reported At Commercial Building In Elkridge

ELKRIDGE, MD — Firefighters were called to the 7100 block of Kit Kat Road in Elkridge early Wednesday morning for a report of a machinery fire.

The call came in around 3:30 a.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found multiple machines on fire inside a building. They extinguished all of the fires quickly. Everyone in the building was able to evacuate without injury before firefighters arrived, fire department stated.

Mutual aid was provided by Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties. There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries, authorities stated.

Last year in March, Howard County firefighters were called to a property located in the 7100 block of Kit Kat Road in Elkridge for a report of a machinery fire in a large recycling facility. The same property also experienced a machinery fire in February of 2025, too.
