MD Appalachian Trail Hike Section #5: Gathland State Park to Reno Monument

Join the HCRP Trail Hike program on the Appalachian Trail as it crosses Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, featuring historic Civil War sights and panoramic views of mountains and valleys; trip leaders will interpret points of interest and keep a moderate pace.  Earn a certificate and patch by hiking each of the seven sections in the Maryland Appalachian Trail series at least once within a 3-year period. Earn a 100-mile patch after hiking sections in MD, VA and PA within a 5-year period.  Fee includes leadership and transportation to & from Long Gate Park & Ride.  Pre-registration required.  8 yrs+, children 15 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult. Registration: 410-313-7275.
