Potomac Heritage Trail Hike - southern section

Join the Howard County Recreation & Parks Trail Hike group for the southern section of the Potomac Heritage Trail!  See Ted Roosevelt Island & Memorial and hike under Key Bridge along the Potomac to Chain Bridge.  Lunch at Fletcher's Boathouse and then continue along the C&O Canal into Georgetown and Washington Harbor.  Moderate terrain, 8.5 miles.  Ages 8 & up welcome (under 15 must be accompanied by a registered adult).  Pre-registration required:  $17 fee includes transportation from Long Gate Park & Ride and hike leadership.  Please bring a non-perishable lunch and beverage (no peanut products).  For registration call 410-313-PARK (7275) or for more information call Dawn Thomas, 410-313-4623.  RP9180.502
