Fall Sports Practices Begin Feb. 13 For HCPSS Athletes

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The 2020-2021 fall sports season for Howard County Public School System athletes will begin Feb. 13. Tryouts and conditioning will be held in the days leading up to the first sporting event currently scheduled for March 5.

All students, whether or not they're learning in person or virtually, can participate in in-person athletics. Schools and coaches will be providing additional information to families and students to prepare for the start of the fall athletics season.

Opportunities for additional in-person extracurricular activities beyond athletics will gradually begin to be offered and families can expect to hear more from the school as those activities progress, officials noted Friday.
