Fine Arts Coordinator At HCPSS Receives National Award
The award is the highest national honor in the country for arts education leadership.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Gino Molfino, coordinator of fine arts for the Howard County Public School System, has been named the recipient of the 2021 National Supervision/Administration Art Educator Award from the National Art Education Association. The award, which is the highest national honor for arts education leadership, was presented during the virtual NAEA 2021 National Convention.
In his role as coordinator of fine arts at HCPSS, Molfino oversees the development of curricular resources, assessments and professional learning experiences for fine arts teachers. He previously earned recognition as Maryland Art Educator of the Year and as a recipient of the NAEA Eastern Region Supervision/Administration Art Educator award. He has served on the executive board for the Maryland Art Education Association and is an active member of the Governor's Fine Arts Advisory Council in Maryland.
