Fire Engine Tanker In Howard County Donated To Kentucky Firefighters
The Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company in Howard County recently donated an engine tanker to a Kentucky fire department affected by the floods.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company in Howard County has donated one of its fire engines to the Hindman Volunteer Fire Department in Kentucky.
Because of the recent floods, many fire departments have lost equipment, tools and other items. The Lisbon Volunteer Fire Company decided to help out and sent down Engine Tanker 44 on a tractor-trailer, they posted on their Facebook page. The fire company had the tanker for almost 30 years, reports WFMD. It will be replaced with a larger tanker in the coming months.
“We are proud to be able to support our fellow firefighters in Kentucky as they struggle to continue to serve amid devastating circumstances," LVFC Chief David Stull said.
