Free Workshops on Investing and Preparing Taxes

Library and MakingChange Present Financial Planning Sessions

The Howard County Library in partnership with MakingChange, a local nonprofit organization that is changing lives by empowering individuals and families to achieve financial stability, is holding free financial planning workshops at branch libraries this month.

The workshops will be presented by Roy Yenoli, Program Coordinator of Financial Education for MakingChange. The sessions feature real world examples on the basics of investing and preparing tax returns.

Investing Basics is the topic on Feb. 8, 10-30-11:30 a.m., at the Miller Branch Library, 9421 Frederick Rd. in Ellicott City, and Feb. 8, 6-7 p.m., at the Central Branch Library, 10375 Little Patuxent Prky. in Columbia.

Preparing for Tax Time is set for Feb. 15, 6-7 p.m., at the Glenwood Branch Library, 2350 State Route 97 in Cooksville.
