Free Summer Concert Series Starts Wednesday At Centennial Park In Howard County

Usher in the July 4 holiday with a performance by the U.S. Army National Guard's rock band Live Fire followed by other acts this summer.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Enjoy free concerts in the park and elsewhere across Howard County this summer starting Wednesday at 7 p.m.

June 29: U.S. Army National Guard "Live Fire" - Live Fire is the 229th Maryland National Guard Rock Band. Performing at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center at 7 p.m., Live Fire captures the essence of America's favorite musical pastime. Playing recognizable songs from all decades, all ages will find themselves singing along to their favorite tune. Concert will be held between the community center and the fire station.

July 13: Bach To Rock - Held at Centennial Park at 7 p.m., Bach To Rock is a well-known music school for students of all ages. Don't miss out on this chance to see an amazing performance from some of Maryland's best student talent. Concert will take place at the Centennial Park Amphitheatre.

July 20: Risa Binder - Risa graduated from Howard High School and the University of Maryland (College Park) and now resides in Nashville but comes to Maryland often. She was nominated for an Emmy for song writing and has opened for national country acts. She performed at Wine in the Woods several years ago. Concert will be at the Centennial Park Amphitheatre at 7 p.m.

July 27: Damon Foreman & Blue Funk - Damon has performed in past summer concerts and at Wine in the Woods; he also runs an award-winning music school in Glenwood. Don't miss out on this amazing funk/blues/rock performance. Concert will be at the Centennial Park Amphitheatre at 7 p.m.
