Howard County Kids Can Participate In Free Summer Meal Program June 27-Aug. 12
Howard County youth age 18 and younger can participate in the HCPSS's free summer meal program that will run June 27-Aug. 12.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — To help fill the nutritional gap that happens during the summer months, the Howard County Public School System will once again offer its free summer meal program weekdays from June 27 to Aug. 12.
Any youth age 18 and younger can receive a meal at the sites listed below. There are no applications, enrollment or fees to participate in this program. Meals will be served only on days schools are open and there will be no meal service July 4 or July 19.
In addition to the summer meal service for the public, free meals will be provided to all students participating in HCPSS summer programs.

The Maryland State Department of Education has issued the following guidelines for free student meals this summer:
- All summer meals must be eaten on site, with the exception of fresh fruit and prepackaged items.
- Parents/guardians will not be allowed to collect meals to go for their children.
- Children must be present to receive summer meals.
Meals will be served weekdays from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the following locations:

- Laurel Woods Elementary School, 9250 N Laurel Rd., Laurel
- Oakland Mills Middle School, 9540 Kilimanjaro Rd., Columbia
- Thomas Viaduct Middle School, 7000 Banbury Dr., Hanover
- Howard High School, 8700 Old Annapolis Rd., Ellicott City
- Howard County Library System East Columbia Branch, 6600 Cradlerock Way, Columbia
