HCPSS 1 Of 830 School Districts Nationally To Receive Music Education Award

HCPSS has again received the Best Communities for Music Education District Award and is one of 830 districts receiving the honor in 2023.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Howard County Public School System once again has been recognized as a Best Communities for Music Education District by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation.

The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an "exceptionally high commitment and access to music education."

This is the eighth consecutive year HCPSS has received the award. HCPSS is one of only 11 Maryland school districts and 830 districts across the United States being recognized with the award for 2023.
