HCPSS Issues Statement on Teacher Facing Sex Charges
Employee Christopher Russell Fox is barred from premises, Howard County Public School System officials said.

The following is a statement the Howard County Public School System published Dec. 3 on its website:
The Howard County Police Department has arrested a Howard County Public School System [HCPSS] employee for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy he met on the Internet. Christopher Russell Fox has been charged with multiple counts of sex offenses and sexual solicitation of a minor.
Fox has been a technology teacher since 2003 assigned to Atholton High School, Folly Quarter Middle School and Mount View Middle School. He also was a JV baseball coach at Glenelg High School in 2006-2007. Since September 2013, Fox has been working in a Building Services facility. Due to these charges, Fox has been placed on administrative leave and is barred from entering any HCPSS property pending our personnel investigation.

The school system is cooperating with the police department during this ongoing investigation. Questions should be referred to the Howard County Police Department.
