HCPSS JROTC Program Accepting Applications Through Jan. 5
Howard County Public School System students must contact a JROTC official by Jan. 5 to schedule an interview.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Students interested in participating in the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps programs offered at Atholton (Army), Howard (Army) and Oakland Mills (Air Force) high schools must contact a JROTC official by Jan. 5 to schedule an interview.
Only students who are interviewed during this designated period will be considered for enrollment. Students who are approved for admission into a JROTC program will be notified by letter by Jan. 22.
Each JROTC program provides an introduction to career opportunities in the United States Armed Forces and teaches principles of leadership, discipline and civic responsibility. Any student who wishes to participate in JROTC but does not attend one of the schools that offers the program may apply for participation. Each school has a limited number of additional spaces available. Contact a school counselor for additional information or learn more about the JROTC program here.
