Henryton Road Bridge Bypass Closed Due To Storm Damage

According to county officials, the bridge was inspected after the storm and wasn't damaged. Part of the bypass, however, was washed away.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Due to the storm that rolled across the county earlier this week, the bypass road adjacent to the Henryton Road Bridge located off MD 99 is closed and will remain unusable for at least three to four weeks. A section of the road washed away during the storm.

According to county officials, the bridge was inspected after the storm and wasn't damaged. The bypass roadway is regularly used by heavy trucks as the road has a 24,000-pound weight restriction.
