Holiday Bucks Program Encourages Shopping In Old Ellicott City
Old Ellicott City's Holiday Bucks program is happening now through Dec. 31.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Anyone searching for the perfect last minute gift can take advantage of the Holiday Bucks program now in its second year. The program encourages shoppers to visit Old Ellicott City and use any of the 1,500 $10 vouchers redeemable at participating restaurants, shops and service provides within the Old Ellicott City historic district. The vouchers must be used for purchases totaling $20 or more and are valid now through Dec. 31.
The program is sponsored by Howard County Executive Calvin Ball, Howard County Tourism, Patapsco Heritage Greenway, Maryland Heritage Areas Authority, Howard County Economic Development Authority and Ellicott City Partnership.
“The businesses and residents of Ellicott City have shown incredible resilience and continue to thrive. We’ve seen nearly 30 businesses open or reopen on Main Street just this year," said Ball in a statement. "With the Holiday Bucks program, we’re inviting you to visit your old favorites, come see what's new in Old Ellicott City this holiday season and be an engaged part of this community."
