Howard Bank President Appointed to Bankers Advisory Board

Howard Bank President & CEO Mary Ann Scully has been appointed to the Bankers Advisory Board.

Howard Bank President & CEO Mary Ann Scully has been appointed to the Bankers Advisory Board of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS), the nationwide organization of banking regulators from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She is one of 20 members.

The mission of CSBS is to support the leadership role of state banking supervisors in advancing the state banking system and state financial regulation, benefiting the public by ensuring safety and soundness, promoting economic growth and consumer protection, and fostering innovative state regulation and supervision of the financial services industry.

A banker for over 30 years, Scully opened Howard Bank in 2004. The company now includes eight full service branches and regional offices in Annapolis, Timonium and Towson, and mortgage operations throughout the Central Maryland area. She is the immediate past chair of the Maryland Bankers Association and currently serves as a trustee of Catholic Charities and a board member of Kennedy Krieger Institute. She was appointed to the Baltimore branch of the Federal Reserve bank and to the Maryland Legislature’s Augustine Commission on economic development in 2014.
