Howard County Firefighters Battle Basement Blaze, Tire Fire
Howard Co. firefighters put out a tire fire that damaged a nearby building Friday and battled a blaze in the basement of a house Saturday.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A tire fire Friday in the Jessup area drew out firefighters from the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
The pile of tires outside a business along Assateague Drive caught fire and the blaze extended to the roof of the building.
Saturday afternoon, firefighters were joined by units from Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties to battle a house fire on Loudon Avenue in Elkridge. The fire had ignited in the basement but was quickly extinguished, the fire department reported.
