Howard County Professionals Selected For Leadership Program

Forty-nine professionals from across Howard County have been selected to participate in Leadership Howard County's premier program.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Forty-nine professionals from across Howard County have been invited to join Leadership Premier program's class of 2020. The individuals hail from businesses and nonprofits, and will learn how to strengthen and transform their communities through Leadership Howard County. Leadership Premier is a 10-month exploration of the Howard County community, during which time participants visit Howard County businesses, meet with local leaders and learn about issues in the county.

The Leadership Premier program was launched in 1985 to further develop individuals committed to devoting their time and resources for community improvement. The program addresses countywide issues through monthly, daylong seminars where participants meet with established leaders in business, government and community services. Since its inception, more than 1,200 individuals have graduated from Leadership Premier and now lead nonprofit boards and civic organizations serving Howard County.
