Howard County Public School System Makes Weather Decision For Jan. 4
The area's first big snowfall has prompted the Howard County Public School System to make a decision about classes on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Howard County Public School System has entered Code Orange for Tuesday, Jan. 4, and all schools are closed including the Digital Education Center. Offices are opening late, with liberal leave in effect.
All evening activities involving HCPSS students and staff are canceled for Tuesday night. All community-sponsored programs in HCPSS buildings are canceled and HCPSS staff COVID-19 testing sites are closed.

- Savage — 6.9 inches (1:15 p.m.)
- Columbia — 6.5 inches (12 p.m.)
- Elkridge — 6.3 inches (12:45 p.m.)
- Columbia — 4.5 inches (12:30 p.m.)
- Ellicott City — 3 inches (12:50 p.m.)
