Important Dates Set For 2021-2022 School Year In Howard County

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The current school year hasn't wrapped up, but the Howard County board of education has set the 2021-2022 academic calendar year with school starting Aug. 30 for Howard County students. School staffers start Aug. 19.

Winter break will be Dec. 23-31 with schools reopening Jan. 3, 2022. Spring break will run from April 11-18, 2022. The last day of school is scheduled for June 14, 2022. Five days at the end of the school year are designated for making up inclement weather closing days. The 2021-2022 academic calendar can be viewed online.
