Input Sought From Public About Proposed Library Central Branch
The community can attend a series of in-person and virtual meetings to provide input about a proposed central branch of the library.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A series of community meetings will be held Feb. 27- March 1 to gather input from the community about how a new Howard County Library System central branch could best benefit downtown Columbia and Howard County.
There are five potential sites being considered for a new central library branch that will be presented to the public as options, including a site in the Merriweather District, two different sites in the Lakefront District, a site at The Mall in Columbia and the existing Central branch site.
The in-person community meetings will take place at Howard Community College’s Dwight A. Burrill Galleria and Monteabaro Recital Hall in the Peter & Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center.
