Lane Closure Expected During Water Main Installation Project In Howard County

Drivers should anticipate a lane closure during a water main installation project planned for a route along Rogers Avenue.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Lane closures are expected during a construction project that calls for the installation of a new water main along Rogers Avenue from Linwood Drive to Court House Drive in Ellicott City.

The project will start June 26 and includes relocating an existing 400-foot segment of 12-inch water main in association with the Rogers Avenue Roadway Improvement Capital Project (J-4170). The new 12-inch water main will be placed in the southbound lane of Rogers Avenue in the project area and connect to the existing water main. Weather permitting, the project should be completed by late July 2023.

Flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic as needed and signs will be posted to alert residents and motorists of the construction, as a single lane closure may occur during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
