Old Columbia Pike Water Main Project Starting Feb. 27 Will Require Lane Closure
Starting Feb. 27, drivers should expect lane closures along Old Columbia Pike for a water main replacement project.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A construction project to replace an eight-inch water main running along Old Columbia Pike from Toll House Road to Roussey Lane in Ellicott City will start Feb. 27.
The project calls for the installation of 5,400 linear feet of eight-inch PVC pipe and 1,200 linear feet of eight-inch ductile iron pipe and cross-connecting pipes and appurtenances. Water services within the project area will be connected to the new water main as part of the project. Weather permitting, the project should be completed by late August 2024.
Flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic as needed and signs will be posted to alert residents and drivers of the construction, as a single lane closure will occur during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
