Lane Closures Planned For Fire Hydrant, Water Line Installations
Drivers should plan for lane closures during a project that starts Jan. 26 and calls for installing fire hydrants and water main.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Drivers should anticipate lane closures for a project that starts Jan. 26 and will wrap up by late May.
Crews will replace the existing 652 linear feet of water main and 32 service connections along Whistling Pines Court in Ellicott City, as well as install two new fire hydrants.
Signs will be posted and flagging operations in place for lane closures, which should be expected during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

One lane along Whistling Pines Court will be closed from Feb. 1 to April 17 to allow for the installation of the new main and the westbound lane of Old Stockbridge Drive at Whistling Pines Court will be closed for six hours for one day in early February and one day in mid-April, the county stated.
