The Lutheran Village at MILLER'S GRANT To Host Classical Concert

Three classically trained musicians will share their talents on October 1 to benefit The Lutheran Village at MILLER'S GRANT.

The concert, entitled "The Joys and Trials of Love," features soprano Michelle Fegeas, tenor Mark Bublitz and pianist Jeongseon Choi.

Mark and Michelle will explore the gamut of emotions that love can bring. This includes the giddiness of innocent young love, the bliss of deep and passionate romance, the pain of grieving the loss of a lover, and more. The program will include music from the Romantic and early 20th century repertoire and two short scenes from Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Verdi’s La Traviata.

Mark Bublitz is a graduate of the vocal program at Towson University. His performances in operatic and musical theater extend throughout the Washington metropolitan area. He has performed on many occasions during the Bethesda Summer Music Festival, the most recent as the title role in “Sweeney Todd.” Since August 2016 Mark has led the tenor section and served as cantor at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle.

Michelle Fegeas is a Doctor of Musical Arts/ Vocal Performance student at George Mason University. She holds degrees in Vocal Performance from the Universities of South Carolina and Florida. Among her many operatic roles are those of Adele in Die Fledermaus and Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro. She teaches voice and piano at the OPUS School of Music in Ashburn, VA.

Jeongseon Choi is a native of South Korea where she debuted with the Seoul Philharmonic at the age of eleven. She received her undergraduate degree from the New England Conservatory where she won the Commencement Concerto Competition. She received her Master’s degree from the Peabody Conservatory as well as a scholarship to study at the National Academy of Music, Oslo, Norway. Her Doctor of Musical Arts degree was completed at The University of Maryland. Dr. Choi has a private studio and is active in performing and adjudicating.

The music begins at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, October 1 in the Formal Dining Room at The Lutheran Village at MILLER'S GRANT, 9000 Father's Legacy in Ellicott City.

• January 28, 2019 - "String Fling" featuring Charles Mokotoff on guitar and the Ravel String Quartet
• March 18, 2019 - "A Celtic Evening" with Port Righ
