Main Street Music Festival Comes To Ellicott City

More than 50 bands are slated to perform at the music festival in Ellicott City on Sept. 23.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD - From Main Street Music Festival: Main Street Music Fest presented by J. Melvin's Better Homes and Gardens is back on Main Street in Old Ellicott City this year, on Saturday, September 23rd. One year after the festival was nearly canceled due to the catastrophic flood, the Ellicott City community is gearing up for the biggest event yet. This year marks the 6th edition of the Main Street Music Fest, and will include over 50 of the region's top musical acts on 7 stages.

The festival lineup is packed with DMV-area bands that are the movers and shakers, shaping the rich Maryland, D.C. and Northern Virginia music scenes. From long-time favorite local headliner, Kelly Bell Band to a band breaking out, like Lionize currently are, to Never Ending Fall, who recently released a dazzling new independent album, the Main Street Music Fest lineup will deliver a diverse array of the unique talent that calls our area home. Full stage lineups are on the MSMF website at http://www.mainstreetmusicfest.com/artists-.html.

While more than a year has passed since the Ellicott City flood, recovery efforts continue. Main Street Music Fest and Paul Reed Smith Guitars have teamed up for a special guitar raffle which will raise funds for Ellicott City Partnership's continuing recovery efforts, with proceeds supporting local business owners. Fans can enter a raffle to win an autographed Paul Reed Smith 24" guitar in Trampas Green. The guitar will be on display at Bill's Music until the festival; raffle tickets are $5, and are available at Bill's Music in Catonsville, and The Wine Bin and The Archive Records in Ellicott City. They will also be available at the festival. The winner will be announced at 7 PM at the Better Homes & Gardens J. Melvin Group stage, located in Lot D.
