Man Assaulted, Robbed + 3 Businesses Broken Into: Howard County Police

Howard County Police report the assault and robbery of a man in Columbia, as well as the burglary of three businesses in the same day.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police officers have reported several incidents where businesses were broken into and a man was assaulted and robbed.

On April 27 around 9 p.m., a man reported to Howard County Police that he was approached by several men who assaulted him then stole his bank card and cell phone before running off. The incident happened in the 5700 block of Columbia Road in Columbia.

The Burger King in the 7100 block of Minstrel Way in Columbia reported being broken into via the drive-thru window around 1:30 a.m. April 29. Electronic were stolen but recovered nearby, the police department reported.

Also on April 29 around 3:55 a.m., the Exxon located in the 10100 block of Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia reported being broken into. Nothing was reported stolen.

Not long after around 4:11 a.m., Kings Contrivance Liquor and Smoke Shop in the 8600 block of Guilford Road, Columbia, reported being broken into via the front doors being forced open. Cash and a safe were reported stolen.
