Man Fatally Hit By Car In Clarksville Identified By Howard County Police

The man fatally hit by a vehicle in Clarksville early Saturday morning has been identified by Howard County Police.

CLARKSVILLE, MD — Police have identified the man fatally hit in a collision with a car early Saturday morning in Clarksville.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. A 2024 Toyota Corolla was heading westbound when it hit Lavar Raynard Baugh, 47, of Bowie who was walking in the travel portion of the roadway, police said. Baugh was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Corolla remained at the scene, according to Howard County Police.

The westbound lanes of Route 32 were closed for approximately three hours following the collision.
