Man Fatally Hit By Vehicle In Woodstock While Standing Near Parked Truck: Police

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police are investigating a fatal collision that happened Thursday in Woodstock involving a pedestrian.

At approximately 8:43 a.m. June 20, a 2017 Toyota Corolla was traveling north in the 10500 block of Dorchester Way when the driver hit a man who was standing next to a parked landscaping vehicle. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to Howard County Police. He has since been identified as Everald Young, 65, of Hyattsville.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained on the scene. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, police said.
