Man Killed On I70 After Car Runs Into Fallen Tree Then Hit By SUV
An unidentified man was killed early Friday morning when his car crashed into a fallen tree on I70 then was hit by an approaching SUV.
WOODBINE, MD — A man was killed early Friday morning in a two-car crash near Woodbine along Interstate 70. The man was driving a Lincoln MKZ eastbound when he crashed into a large tree that had fallen in the road. The Lincoln spun around and was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Mark McCluskey, 51, of Baltimore, according to a police report.
McCluskey was taken to Howard County General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The man driving the Lincoln was declared dead at the scene by the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. The interstate was closed for approximately four hours after the crash, which remains under investigation.
