Man Who Fired Gun At Woman In Hotel Room Receives Sentence: Official
A Laurel man who shot at a woman in a hotel room has been sentenced to prison, according to the Howard County State's Attorney's Office.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Christopher Shan Mason, 47, of Laurel has been sentenced to 37 years in prison without the possibility of parole for the first 30 years. Mason was found guilty of attempted second-degree murder, use of a firearm in a crime of violence and illegal possession of a firearm by a Howard County jury in June 2022.
On April 17, 2021, Mason fired three shots at a woman he was with at a motel located on Washington Avenue. One of those gunshots was fired while Mason was in the room with the woman and two more were fired through the window at the victim when she looked out of the window to see if Mason had left, according to the Howard County State's Attorney's Office.
