Meeting To Discuss Jessup Dry Stormwater Pond Project Planned For July 27
A project to repair an existing dry stormwater pond in Jessup will be discussed July 27. The public is invited to attend and learn more.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Community members interested in learning more about the repairs going to be made to an existing dry stormwater pond at 8916 Twelve Sons Court in Jessup can attend a public meeting July 27 at 6 p.m. in the Lucille Clifton Rooms A/B at Howard County Library System’s East Columbia branch.
The project will include the replacement of the pond’s riser and spillway pipe, creation of a shallow wetland within the pond to provide water quality treatment and stabilization of inflow channels and pond outfall with rock structures. Areas disturbed during construction will be replanted.
Weather permitting, the project should start in June 2024 and take an estimated seven months to complete.

The informational meeting will include an overview of the project, followed by an open discussion. County staff and representatives from the project’s design consultant will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.
The project is partially funded through the county’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Fund.
