Attend an informational meeting Aug. 10 to discuss a pond repair project in Ellicott City that also will bring the pond into compliance.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The community's invited to attend an informational meeting highlighting a project repairing an existing pond by replacing an old metal outlet structure with a new concrete outlet structure near 2041 Eliza Dorsey Lane in Ellicott City. The new concrete outlet structure has a longer service life and will bring the pond into compliance with current Maryland Department of the Environment requirements.

Weather permitting, the project should start in the fall of 2023 and be completed by spring 2024.

The meeting will be held Aug. 10 at 6 p.m. in the Avalon Room of the Howard County Library System’s Miller branch and include an overview of the project’s design followed by an open discussion. County staff and the project’s design consultant will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.
