Meeting Will Highlight Proposed Improvements To Old Waterloo Road
The proposed project aims to improve pedestrian access along the east side of Old Waterloo Road.
ELKRIDGE, MD — Residents are encouraged to attend a meeting Thursday to discuss proposed pedestrian improvements to Old Waterloo Road in Elkridge.
The Howard County Department of Public Works Bureau of Engineering’s Transportation & Special Projects Division will host the meeting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Mayfield Woods Middle School.
The proposed project aims to improve pedestrian access along the east side of Old Waterloo Road by closing the gap between the existing sidewalk approximately 500 feet south of Alayna Road and the existing sidewalk at the US 1/MD 175 intersection.

The project also includes the construction of storm drainage and stormwater management infrastructure to improve drainage, as well as a cul-de-sac at the current dead end of Old Waterloo Road. The project currently is in the design phase.
