Midnight Madness in Ellicott City Kicks Off Holiday Season
Tree lighting, caroling, extended shopping hours planned for early December.

Need help getting in the holiday spirit? A visit to Ellicott City in early December will make it easy to feel festive.
The annual tree lighting and Midnight Madness event are slated for Friday, Dec. 5.
There will be carolers, live music, a tree lighting and shopping specials. Many stores will be open until midnight for the occasion.

Howard County Tourism, the Ellicott City Business Association and the Ellicott City Restoration Foundation are partners in organizing the signature seasonal event.

There will be additional parking at the George Howard Building and Circuit Court, with a free shuttle taking people between the parking lots and downtown between 6 p.m. and midnight.
The tree lighting will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, in front of the Howard County Welcome Center at 8267 Main Street in Historic Ellicott City. Shops will be open until midnight on Friday, Dec. 5, as well.
