Motorcycle Crash Kills Driver, Critically Injures Passenger: Police
A man was killed and a woman critically injured in a motorcycle crash this week, according to the Howard County Police.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Howard County police are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision in Columbia this week in which one person was killed.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. Sept. 4, a 2006 Yamaha R6 was traveling north on Route 29 at Rivers Edge Road when it left the road for an unknown reason. The operator and passenger were ejected from the motorcycle and both were transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The man who was driving died from his injuries. The woman who was his passenger was originally listed in critical condition, according to police.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
