Music and Comedy Legends Coming to Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races this Spring
Larry the Cable Guy, Clint Black, Grand Funk Railroad, Sinbad, Travis Tritt and Ron White Coming to Charles Town Event Center

This spring, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races is bringing in some of the top names in music and comedy. Get ready for an incredibly entertaining lineup including, stand-up kings Larry the Cable Guy, Sinbad and Ron White, country legends Clint Black and Travis Tritt, and blues rockers Grand Funk Railroad.
Don’t miss your chance to see one of the top grossing stand-up comedians working today, Larry the Cable Guy, in a two-show engagement on Saturday, March 18 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Famous for his hilarious catch phrases, “Git-R-Done” and “Lord, I apologize,” his one-liner, observation filled act has drawn fans from around the world. Larry’s superstardom began when he joined the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Since then, Larry’s career has included movie roles, voice acting, as well as comedy albums and specials. You can catch Larry on his own Netflix special these days, alongside his Blue Collar Comedy co-star Jeff Foxworthy, in “We’ve Been Thinking.”
Country music singer, songwriter, producer and actor Clint Black continues the lineup with a two-show stop in Charles Town on Friday, March 31 at 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 1 at 8 p.m. With more than 30 singles on the US Billboard country charts, 22 have reached No. 1 status, including “A Better Man” and “Killin’ Time” from 1989 certified platinum album Killin’ Time. The debut album was later recognized in CMT’s list of The100 Greatest Albums in Country Music. Black solidified his success with an induction into the Grande Ole Opry in 1991 and became the fourth country music singer to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1996.

Next up is famed 1970s blues-rock band Grand Funk Railroad on Saturday, April 8 at 8 p.m. Hailed for their signature arena rock style, the band brought its dynamic sound to fans across the world with chart-topping hits including “We’re An American Band” and “The Loco-Motion.” Other crowd-pleasers include, “I’m Your Captain” and “Some Kind of Wonderful.” Grand Funk Railroad continues to tour 40 shows per year with their “45 Years of Grand Funk” tour which began in 2014.
Heading up the spring shows,stand-up sensation and actor Sinbad is bringing the laughs for a two-show performance Friday, April 21 at 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 22 at 8 p.m. Sinbad rose to comedy fame in the 1990s after several HBO stand-up specials and appearances on television series A Different World, a spinoff of The Cosby Show, and his own network series The Sinbad Show on Fox. The comedian began his film career with 1991’s Necessary Roughness, and later starred in Houseguest, First Kid, Jingle All the Way and Good Burger.

On Friday, May 12 at 9 p.m. catch platinum selling, two-time Grammy Award winner Travis Tritt. Best known for this signature blend of southern rock and honky tonk sound, Tritt has recorded 11 albums, which produced hits such as “Anymore,” “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” and “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares).” The Grand Ole Opry member has also received four awards from the Country Music Association over the course of his career.
Finally, you won’t want to miss comedian Ron White on Saturday, June 10 at 8 p.m. White is notorious for his on-stage cigar-smoking, tequila-drinking antics and first rose to fame as a member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Now, as a chart-topping, Grammy-nominated comedian and feature film actor and New York Times best-selling author, White has established himself as a star in his own right.
