2 Howard County Library System Staff Members Earn Library Journal's National Recognition
Two Howard County Library System staff members have earned national recognition from Library Journal as 2022 Movers and Shakers.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Library Journal has recognized Howard County Library System staff members Nay Keppler and Katie DiSalvo-Thronson as the 2022 Movers and Shakers, an annual spotlight of individuals who are moving the library field forward as a profession.
Keppler serves as the Miller Branch manager and was recognized in the educators category.
“Libraries transformed my life and gave me a vehicle to help other people,” Keppler said. “The
library gave me a purpose on this planet.”

DiSalvo-Thronson serves as the community engagement and partnerships manager and was recognized in the community builders category.
“I want to live in a world with more community,” she said. “The library is a great tool for advancing that. Connecting to community is really imperative for helping as many people as possible use those resources.”
