Nominations Sought For Howard County Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal, Sept. 8 Deadline

The Howard County Veterans Foundation asks for nominations for the Veterans Day Parade grand marshal honor. Applications are due by Sept. 8.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Nominations are being sought for the 2023 Howard County Veterans Day Parade grand marshal.

The honorary title is given to someone who, according to the Howard County Veterans Foundation, represents the values and morals of the county's community of veterans and military families. The parade will take place Nov. 12 and nominations must be submitted by Sept. 8.

The grand marshal is recognized at the parade and lakefront ceremony, and participates in the parade, whenever possible, and rides or walks with the designated grand marshal float. While the parade committee provides and decorates the float, the grand marshal and their family are encouraged to help.
