Main Street Shuts Down In The Overnight This Week, Detour Set Up From 10 P.M. To 6 A.M.

A stretch of Main Street will be shut down in the overnight this week for a BGE project.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A stretch of Main Street from Oella Avenue in Baltimore County to Old Columba Pike will be closed in the overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 p.m. this week. The closure will shut down the road starting Monday and construction should be done by 6 a.m. Friday, weather permitting.

The road will be closed for a BGE maintenance project replacing a utility pole near the intersection of Main Street and Maryland Avenue. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists around the closure. During these overnight hours, access to Parking Lot B also will be closed. BGE expects there to be no power interruption to its customers during the maintenance work.
