Parents Plan To Rally Against Face Masks At Howard County School Board Meeting
A group of parents plan to rally against the face mask mandate still in place at the Howard County Public School System.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A group of Howard County parents plans to rally in protest of the mask mandate at the Howard County Public School System at Thursday night's school board meeting.
State lawmakers approved the state board's plan mapping out the conditions that have to be met in order for local jurisdictions to end the mandate, which includes if 80 percent of the people in a county are vaccinated or if 80 percent of all students or staff at a school are vaccinated.
Right now, the only county in the area that meets the vaccination requirement is Howard County. But HCPSS has not dropped its mask mandate, parents say.
