Parks, Courts, Golf Course Reopen In Howard County
In accordance with Gov. Larry Hogan's guidance, restrictions are being eased for some shared spaces and parks across Howard County.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — As Maryland looks to slowly reopen, the Howard County Department of Recreation & Parks will reopen a golf course, parks and courts to the public Thursday. Park restrooms and playgrounds will remain closed until further notice.
“In accordance with the governor’s guidance, we’re easing some of our restrictions for our shared spaces and parks,” said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball in a statement. “Residents are encouraged to get outside and exercise, but please continue to practice safe physical distancing when visiting our parks. There should still not be large gatherings, celebrations or cookouts at this time.”
Raul Delerme, director of recreation and parks, said the locations to be opened allow for social distancing to be practiced.
