Patapsco River Tributary Stabilization Project To Begin Sept. 1 In Howard County

The Patapsco River tributary stabilization project scheduled to begin Sept. 1 in Howard County shouldn't affect traffic, officials say.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A construction project to stabilize the roadway culvert outfall and the outfall tributary to the Patapsco River along both sides of the roadway between 4886 and 4920 Wharff Lane in Ellicott City will help improve stream channels and steep slopes.

The project should begin Sept. 1 and shouldn't impact traffic flow. Weather permitting, the project should be wrapped up by late January 2023.

The project is partially funded through Howard County’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Fund.
