Police Pace 5K, 1 Mile Fun Walk Returns To Howard County
The annual Howard County Police Foundation's Police Pace 5k race and 1-mile fun walk or run returns to HoCo this year on Sept. 12.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The annual Howard County Police Foundation's Police Pace 5k race and 1-mile fun walk or run will return this year. Slated for Sept. 12, the fun walk and run follow a course that winds through Centennial Park located off Route 108 in Ellicott City. The event will start at 8:30 a.m.
The 5K will head out to Route 108 and follow it east to Woodland Road. Participants then re-enter the park on Woodland Road and follow the paved footpath around the lake counterclockwise, finishing at the bandshell.
The 1-mile fun walk and run begins five minutes after the 5K on the roadway near the park concession area and proceeds toward the boat launching area where it follows the roadway to the left toward the upper pavilion area. The course continues to the paved pathways where it turns left back toward the park concession area, crossing the boat launching area and follows the paved footpath to the finish line near the bandshell.
