Rabies Clinic Planned For Howard County Pets
The next monthly rabies clinic available to Howard County pets will be next week, weather permitting.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The next rabies vaccination clinic for Howard County pet owners will be held at the county animal control and adoption center.
Scheduled for April 16, the vaccination clinic is for dogs, cats and ferrets, and enables pet owners to be in compliance with county code.
Pets must be at least four months old to receive the vaccination, and can be vaccinated with either the 1- or 3-year vaccine based on vaccination history. Pet owners need to take a copy of the animal's vaccine history from a veterinarian.

Pet owners also can buy a county license for their pet at an additional charge.
All pets must be on a non-retractable leash or in an escape-proof carrier. Muzzles are required for aggressive dogs, the county stated.

The event will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m., weather permitting, at the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center, located at 8576 Davis Rd. in Columbia.
