'Race Across Howard County' Goes Virtual For 2020 Event

The fundraiser is hosted by the Howard Hospital Foundation to support Howard County General Hospital.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Lace up those running shoes and get ready to participate in the Howard Hospital Foundation's virtual Race Across Howard County. The event spans from Dec. 1 to Dec. 15 and participants run or walk on their own, submit race times and collect donations supporting Howard County General Hospital’s new Nursing Excellence Fund. Howard Hospital Foundation provides philanthropic support to Howard County General Hospital.

“Get active this winter and support Howard County General Hospital,” Jennifer Smith, vice president of Howard Hospital Foundation, said in a statement. “Our nurses need your support now more than ever, as we serve on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Help the hospital’s 800 nurses deliver exceptional patient and family-centered care.”

Registrations, donations and sponsorships for Race Across Howard County benefit the hospital’s Nursing Excellence Fund, which supports continuing education and training for nurses, resources to promote their resilience and wellness and tools to improve the quality of care and health outcomes for Howard County General Hospital patients.
