Railroad Crossing To Close Monday For Maintenance Work In Howard County, Expect Detour

A railroad crossing in Howard County will close Monday for maintenance work. Drivers should expect a detour through Oct. 20.

While the railroad crossing is closed, traffic will detour via Marriottsville Road, Granite Road, Woodstock Road and MD 99. Weather permitting, the project be completed by 4 p.m. Oct. 20.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — CSX Transportation will start maintenance work on the railroad crossing at Woodstock Road at the Howard/Baltimore County line in Woodstock around 9 a.m. Monday.

While the railroad crossing is closed, traffic will detour via Marriottsville Road, Granite Road, Woodstock Road and MD 99. Weather permitting, the project be completed by 4 p.m. Oct. 20.

Variable message boards and signs will be posted to alert the public of the project and corresponding detour route.
